A humble genius who knows when to lead, and when to follow.
Karol is an award winning marketer with a passion for excellence and a strong belief in the power of education. She currently serves as faculty fellow at Lipscomb University for the professional studies program. She is also a guest lecturer for Middle Tennessee State University, Vanderbilt University, and has been a featured speaker for the American Marketing Association’s Nashville Chapter, and Facebook’s She Means Business tour series.
Karol has worked with marketing teams in non-profits, publicly traded, and privately owned companies. In her current role, she leads marketing strategy and execution for a $300 million mechanical engineering firm. Her leadership has earned the company three national awards from SMPS (Society for Marketing Professional Services), and most recently a Telly Award for a successful regional Super Bowl TV ad campaign.
She was born and raised in Colombia until her family migrated to the United States in 1998. She holds a Bachelor’s in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
Karol resides in Middle Tennessee with her husband, three kids, two dogs, and a fish. She enjoys astronomy, photography, meeting with her SCBWI friends, and writing. Her first book is scheduled to be published in 2022.
